The Journal of Islamic Studies (JIS) is an open-access scholarly journal published by Dirasatuna Publisher, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. JIS is published triannually (January, May, and September) and is dedicated to advancing empirical and conceptual research in the field of Islamic Studies.

The journal’s primary objective is to serve as a platform for the dissemination of original academic works, including research articles, case studies, and book reviews, that explore diverse themes within Islamic Studies. JIS welcomes high-quality scholarly contributions employing qualitative or quantitative research methods, written in English. Before submission, authors are required to ensure that their manuscripts adhere to the JIS Submission Template and comply with the JIS Author Guidelines, including thorough editing and proofreading prior to submission.
